The Rydal Waters experienced team can help you make a thorough comparison of costs to determine what option works best for you. We’ll even help coordinate your move.

Contracts

Many Life Plan Communities offer two basic contract types: Life Care and Fee-for-Service. At Rydal Waters, you’ll enjoy the flexibility of choosing one of these types of contracts or blending the two options to suit your individual situation.

LIFE CARE

Life Care means that should the need for personal care, memory care or skilled nursing care arise, a resident who is approved for Life Care can move to the community’s on-site care center and continue to pay the same monthly fee charged for his or her independent living home, plus ancillary items (medical supplies, medications, etc.). Care at these rates is available for an unlimited period for those who have entered into a Life Care agreement. If one member of a couple requires care and moves to the care center, the other member may remain in the independent living home. The couple continues to pay only the monthly fee for the independent living home, plus ancillary items at the care center. NOTE: Increases in the monthly fee may occur with increases in inflation or operating costs.

Life Care entrance fees range from $498,000 to $632,000.

FEE-FOR-SERVICE

Fee-for-Service means that should the need for personal care, memory support or skilled nursing care arise, a resident can move to the community’s on-site care center, and will pay the current rate for the services used. Those who have long-term care insurance sometimes find the Fee-for-Service option attractive. If one member of a couple requires care and moves to the care center, the other member may remain in the independent living home. The couple will then pay the single occupancy monthly fee for the independent living home, plus the monthly fee and charges for ancillary items (medical supplies, medications, etc.) at the care center for the second person.

Fee-for-Service entrance fees range from $473,000 to $607,000.
